A Girls Weekend

So with Ben gone this weekend there was lots of shopping, chick flicks (I finally saw "Dear John") and crafting!!

Here are a couple things I made (one more to come later because it isn't quite finished)

*Sorry for the shiny pictures on the paintings, the spray painted them with black glossy paint to get the effect I wanted but it didn't work out so good for pictures.

This "set" of lilies may turn into a trio soon, not sure if I will paint the third one (or will have time to). But I will show you the frames I have in mind for these when they are done.

This is cute "set" of rules that I have seen on so many other sites so I just had to make one us! I loved how it turned out minus some of the not straight lines and wrinkles, and I think with the frame it will be really nice to have around!

So hopefully you enjoyed this Girls weekend as much as I did. I am although very excited to have Ben back tomorrow!! Please pray for safe travels for him.

A Long Post

So this is going to be a long post with lots of pictures to update you on the last month. Enjoy :)

For Valentine's Ben and I "celebrated" on Monday. We just made a nice dinner, Ben built a fire and we watched the Olympics. It was so wonderful and relaxing.

Here is what I came home from work to...

This is the shirt I got for Ben for Valentine's, we got the wrong size on accident so that is why it is a little bit tight :)

This past weekend we decided to go on "small" hike with Travis... the small hike turned into almost 12 miles! But we hiked out to Lake Conroe which was beautiful and it was a perfect day. It was also a great time for Ben to try out some of his new gear that he got for Christmas and break it in a little before he headed to Nevada this coming weekend for some field work.

And we got SNOW again in Bryan :) 3" whole inches! And for the first time in Ben's college career he was able to get a "snow day" well it was really more of a snow delay but he was so excited. He didn't get to sleep in though because he still had to take me to work!
